What is a PHP Day Program?

A PHP (Partial Hospitalization Program) combines inpatient and outpatient treatment elements. This commitment is comparable to that of an inpatient residential program. However, unlike our Inpatient Residential Program, the PHP level of care allows you to live at home while continuing to build your recovery foundation through group and individual intensive therapy. Our PHP Day Program is the middle ground between residential treatment and IOP treatment and is Peaks Recovery’s second-highest level of care.

2-4 weeks of programming (based on medical necessity)

At least 4 hours of group time per day(depending on the symptom severity and scheduling)

Reasons why PHP could be the right level of care:

You have recently completed an inpatient residential program and feel you need that additional support before transitioning to IOP.

You feel you need that extra support and don’t quite feel ‘stable’ enough to transition fully into a completely independent lifestyle.

You have faced severe episodes of addiction and have difficulty managing cravings.

You do not need or require treatment at a higher level of care, such as inpatient or residential rehab.

How long is the PHP Day Program?

Our PHP Day Program generally lasts 2-4 weeks based on medical necessity.
If you are looking for a higher level of care, our Inpatient Residential Program is up to 30 days based on medical necessity.
If you are looking for a lower level of care, our IOP Program generally lasts between 3 weeks to 3 months; however, it is based on medical necessity.
Peaks Recovery is staffed with professionals who document and support medical necessity timelines to achieve the ideal programming length for each individual’s benefit.

How much is the PHP Day Program?
